Hamida Barmaki Organization for the Rule of Law is one of the active collaborators of the Judiciary and other government agencies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization is proud that it has been recently become a member of the Rule of Law Working Group for Afghanistan Open Government Partnership. And the organization alongside its other activities aimed at strengthening the rule of law, administrative reform, human rights and justice and social peace in Afghanistan, it also wants to serve the country, government and people through this assembled.
Afghanistan Open Government Partnership was established by the decree of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan following on paragraph (17) of decree No 19 of 21/11/2016, the Cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for approvel the membership of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Open Government Partnership – OGP in order to enhance transparency and accountability at all levels of government and empowerment of the citizens of the country. The Open Government Partnership – OGP is an international platform was established in 2011 to promote transparency and accountability of governments and empower citizens, and up to now 75 countries have been able to become members of this institution. By completing 88 percent of the criteria, the Afghan government has received the membership of the OGP on 8 December 2016.
