Hamida Barmaki Organization for the Rule of Law conducted capacity building training in Daikundi province for three days on 26th – 28th May 2019 with the close cooperation of Cordaid and financial support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands

The audience of this program were from the Department of Justice, Department of tribal (Aqwaam & Qabayel), Department of Haj and Islamic affairs (Haj & Awqaaf) Departments of Women affairs, Afghanistan Independent Bar Association, General attorney office and Afghanistan independent human rights commission.

The purpose of the training was to develop the linkage between the formal and informal justice systems. Increase the cooperation and collaboration between the two systems, and enhance their knowledge about legal practices in Afghanistan and to increase Rule of Law and access to Justice especially for women and girls. The participants also discussed the subject in open discussions and group work.

The participants praised the Hamida Barmaki Organization for the rule law activities and said: “we found this three days’ program very useful. And there were various organizations in the program that solved the problems and discussed the questions we had in mind.” The program ended by distributing program certifications to the participants.
